🌟 About This Event

You’re warmly invited to join Thriving Autistic for a special online neuro-affirming celebration of Autistic experiences and reflections from our Discovery Programme.

This event launches our Discovery Report, highlighting Autistic stories, insights, and the positive impact of strengths-based support for Autistic adults. I will be facilitating the online chat through out the event.

There will also be a panel discussion with the Discovery and animation teams, and a post event community space for further discussion, connecting and celebrating together.

We’ll also premiere two short educational animation videos about Autistic experiences!

Discovering I’m Autistic
Lightbulb Moments - Being Autistic

I have been working on these animations over the past year with our animator Iara Abigalil, Fergus Murray, Sonny Hallett, Jessica K Doyle, Laura Buckland Mason and our musician Aubrey Hayes AKA Somebody Someone....... very excited to be able to finally share these and look forward to hearing your feedback!

Navigating PANS and PANDAS
ONLINE Conference 2025

Navigating PANS and PANDAS ONLINE Conference 2025, brings to our community a range of experts dedicated to supporting lives affected by PANS and PANDAS. Each speaker will deliver an informative and interactive webinar designed to support caregivers and families who are affected by the conditions.

As many of you may know, I support the charity PANS PANDAS UK and am navigating the difficulties of this complex medical condition with my own family.

Laura Hellfeld (nurse) and I will discuss how many neurodivergent traits can overlap with PANS/PANDAS, particulary when children are experiencing burnout. Diagnostic overshadowing is a huge problem so we will be dispelling some myths and exploring neurodiversity-affirming ways to support children and young people at home and in educational settings.

You can use the registration link below to book your free/ by donation place.

Find out more about Neurodivergence and PANS PANDAS & read Could it be PANS/PANDAS… Be Curious! A campaign I worked on with Joanne Riordan, Laura Hellfeld, Viv Dawes, Julie Webb and Ben Palmer.

The Neuro-Affirming Wheel of Life

The Neuro-Affirming Wheel of Life is designed for neurodivergent & disabled people, this gentle tool helps you reflect on your energy, flow, sensory needs, and more. Honour your own rhythms and flow.

This Wheel is not about fixing yourself or striving for symmetry. It’s about pausing, noticing what’s working, what’s hurting, and what needs more time and space.

It’s a chance to ask:

  • What feels full?
  • What feels stretched thin?
  • What really matters to me right now?

You can colour it in, journal with it, or simply use it to guide conversations with a therapist, peer, or support worker. However you use it, this tool is here to meet you where you are β€” not where the world expects you to be.

You can download the FREE printable Wheel of Life template and an accompanying guided journal with prompts in my shop:

Finally....... here is a Penguin Pebble for you all!

Penguin Pebbling is an Autistic love language. It is a way of showing you care by sharing a meme or a pretty stone to say β€œI'm thinking of you.” Inspired by penguins who gift pebbles to those they care about.

Looking forward to sharing more blogs, resources, research and upcoming events soon!

If you find this news letter valuable please do share and encourage people to sign up and visit Autistic Realms - pass on a Penguin Pebble!
